You never know when a familiar face might part ways with All Elite Wrestling and recently there’s been a lot of talk about Malakai Black’s status with the company. Black has been with the company for a few years now, but it seems that he could be finishing up sooner than later.
PWInsider is reporting that several AEW sources believe Malakai Black will be leaving the company. The expectation is that he will become a free agent sometime in February of March. As of right now Black is still under contract with All Elite Wrestling, but he is not expected to make any further appearances for the company.
Malakai Black was released from WWE in June of 2021 and he went on to debut with AEW in July of that same year. He is a former NXT Champion and was pushed heavily by Triple H when The Game was in charge of the NXT brand. The expectation is that WWE would be the most likely landing place for Malakai Black if he becomes a free agent.
