Drew McIntyre has been one of WWE’s top stars for years now and he recently faced off against Cody Rhodes in a high profile match when he challenged The American Nightmare for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Unfortunately for Drew he didn’t walk out with the gold, but he’ll be with WWE for years to come, so he could get another chance to win a championship at some point in the future.

Fightful Select reports that Drew McIntyre has about two and a half years left on his contract with WWE, so he will be with the company until at least 2028. It hasn’t been confirmed, but it was hinted that the deal will carry him through WrestleMania 44. It was also noted that Drew’s current contract with WWE is worth millions of dollars per year.

Drew McIntyre’s contract status has been a hot topic recently on social media as former WWE writer Vince Russo recently invited Drew to work for Juggalo Championship Wrestling when he posted the following:

“@DMcIntyreWWE would LOVE to discuss you coming to @jcwlunacy once your @wwe contract expires. You have my word—-you won’t be booked like !!!”

Following his loss to Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event there’s currently no word on what WWE has planned for Drew McIntyre moving forward.

Stay tuned for updates.
