As was seen on Raw, Daniel Bryan vacated the Intercontinental Championship due to his injury. PWInsider reports that the decision was made for Bryan to relinquish the title on May 8th after WWE officials received the results from the MRI which was done on Bryan’s shoulder. WWE officials had reportedly been hoping that Daniel Bryan would be able to return to action this month but obviously that’s not going to happen.
Bryan is still scheduled to work the Payback pay-per-view on Sunday and it’s being speculated that he will start some sort of angle that will lead to the crowning of the next IC Champion.
