Alexa Bliss was a hot topic heading into the Royal Rumble this year as it had been reported that the former champion was looking to sign a new contract with WWE. On Saturday night Bliss made her first appearance on WWE programming in over two years when she returned at the Royal Rumble, and it appears that a new multi-year deal has been signed.
Fightful Select is reporting that WWE put together a new five year deal with Alexa Bliss, Paragon Talent’s Mojo and Steve Kaye. According to the report the deal was signed on Saturday and Alexa Bliss was flown into Indianapolis, IN the same day.
WWE had prepared merchandise for Alexa’s return weeks ago as the company started to factor her into plans. It’s being said that the Alexa Bliss merchandise sold very well.
Previously Bliss had been under a long term deal which was extended due to her absence from the company. WWE sources noted that Alexa and her reps wanted a new deal while WWE wanted her to work under her existing deal which still had time on the contract. Ultimately a new deal was signed.
