What The New Day Has Planned For WrestleMania This Year

The New Day was once thought of as a New Nation Of Domination but they have since broken all preconceived notions about their alliance and are dancing their way toward a possible fifth run with WWE Tag Team Championships. But they’ll have to go through The Usos and Bludgeon Brothers to make it happen.

As WrestleMania 34 approaches Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods seem more centered than ever but they also never forget how to enjoy themselves along the way.

RingSide News recently had a chance to sit down with Kofi, Big E, and Xavier for a little discussion. During their interview, the famous stable had a lot of fun in the process but that is to be expected because we’re talking about The New Day.

Big E described the fact that getting ready for WrestleMania isn’t really an issue for them because they have to stay ready all of the time due to their position with WWE.

“We have so many matches throughout the year, so you don’t really get ready, you stay ready. You know, we were just in a match two days ago and I always try to remind myself that the ring is still 20×20 even though there is 80,000 people or tens-of-thousands at WrestleMania. It’s the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All,’ and of course it’s a big deal.”

“But, the ring is still the same size and we know our opponents” Big E continued. “We know the Bludgeons [Brothers]. We know the Usos. There’s no real mental preparation, because this is what we do. This is our lifestyle. We’ve been a trio now for almost four years. So, our chemistry is as good as it’s ever been. So, there’s no real mental preparation, it’s just, ‘Hey, we’ll lace them up on Sunday and we’ll do what we always do.’”

The New Day is known for their theatrics. After all, if you’ve ever seen them at a house show they’re likely to be the only act with a prop because a huge blow-up box of Booty-O’s rises on the side of the stage during their entrance.

They’ve emerged out of a giant box of Booty-O’s in the past at WrestleMania so it’s likely they’ll have something up their cut-off sleeves this year as well. But Xavier Woods was pretty tight-lipped about it when asked, but of course, they’re planning something because those guys are always planning something.

“Of course we got it planned. We always have a plan. We have a notebook full of plans. It just depends on when we want to release said plans. So, said plan will be released on Sunday at WrestleMania, which you can watch on the WWE Network, sponsored by Snickers!”

This year’s WrestleMania is a loaded show with a lot of potential and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match is just one of several amazing matches on the card. But The New Day has stolen the show before and they might try to do it again in a big way inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome on Sunday.
