For months now The Bloodline storyline has been one of the most talked about storylines in WWE and Sami Zayn has been at the center of it all. Tension has been building between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn for weeks now and on Saturday night Sami accompanied The Tribal Chief to the ring for his main event match with Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble.
Roman Reigns successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens, but the action didn’t stop after the bell rang. The Bloodline continue to beat down Kevin Owens after the match and Roman Reigns brutalized KO with a chair after The Usos handcuffed him to the ropes.
The Tribal Chief then handed the chair to Sami Zayn and ordered Zayn to hit KO, but Sami refused, and he ended up hitting Roman with the chair instead. The Bloodline then destroyed Sami Zayn as Jey Uso walked out. Zayn and Owens were left decimated in the ring as the Royal Rumble went off the air.
Video footage of the post-match fallout has surfaced online and it shows the referees removing the handcuffs and setting KO free. From there KO moved toward Sami seemingly to check on him while selling the beating from The Usos. After KO got out of the ring two referees helped him to the back. Sami Zayn then got to his feet to a big reaction from the crowd. The fans then chanted Sami’s name as he made his way to the back.
It looks like Sami Zayn is officially out of The Bloodline so one way or another it will be interesting to see where things go from here.
