Sunday night Dolph Ziggler defended his Intercontinental Championship against Seth Rollins in a 30 minute Iron Man match which was the main event of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
Rollins and Ziggler put everything they had into their performance, but the fans in attendance were preoccupied by the clock on the big screen.
Throughout the match fans did Royal Rumble style countdowns as a new minute approached, and during the match Rollins and Ziggler commented on the countdowns.
At one point Ziggler had Rollins a sleeper hold, and he said to Rollins, “it’s worse than when the clock was up.”
Rollins responded by saying, “that’s why they should have left it up.”
