There have been rumors of WWE wanting to bring Ronda Rousey in for a while. Ever since WrestleMania 31 when Ronda got in the ring to take out Stephanie McMahon in a successful attempt to assist The Rock the rumor mill has been abuzz.
Now it looks like things are finally taking shape for Ronda to mix it up in a wrestling ring. There have been reports saying she has been training with The Brian Kendrick and has taken some bumps in the ring.
She must be doing well enough in the ring for WWE to be certain something will eventually take place. Because as Ronda, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke were being asked about Shayna Baszler’s performance in the Mae Young Classic the long awaited showdown finally happened.
It was over very quickly but it was an intense moment, to say the least. Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Bayley strolled up to Ronda, Duke, and Shafir to just stare them down. If you were wondering where Sasha Banks was at the time, she was promoting a WWE tour of Australia and New Zealand. But Flair, Lynch, and The Hugger weren’t on the other side of the world so they had no problem finding Ronda Rousey.
“You name the time, you name the place,” Rousey said and WWE’s representatives didn’t say a word. Instead, Flair, Lynch, and Bayley just looked them up and down and walked away. “Not today?” Rousey asked as they left.
This kind of thing will certainly bring eyeballs to WWE and their match will probably mean big money. It will also most likely be a nice television rating boost if they can get MMA’s 4 Horsewomen on Raw.
True, Becky Lynch isn’t on Raw but they’ll probably figure out a way to have it make sense in the story. The more concerning part is whether Bayley will be healed up enough to compete by the time this feud kicks into high gear.
