Watch John Cena And Nikki Bella Talk WrestleMania Engagement On The Today Show

It finally happened at WrestleMania 33. John Cena got down on one knee, and although we still can’t see him we certainly saw the rock on the engagement ring he gave Nikki Bella. But, if the old expression is true that you’re supposed to spend three month’s salary on an engagement ring you can tell how many t-shirts he sells. That was a ring bought by sweet, sweet merch money for sure.

The newly engaged couple didn’t have much time to enjoy Orlando after WrestleMania 33. They were off to The Today Show the morning after to talk about what happened after their mixed tag match.

For some reason after one of the most historic WrestleManias of all time, the segment that got time on the Today Show was John Cena and Nikki Bella. The Undertaker had his final match, Brock Lesnar toppled Goldberg, The Hardys made their triumphant return, but John gave Nikki a ring so they appeared on NBC’s morning news show. It makes sense if you think like a housewife. Of course, Al Roker from The Today Show being the guest ring announcer for the match helped them secure the spot as well.

John retold the story of how he used the gift of anesthesia to initially propose to Nikki without her being able to remember it.  John had been planning their engagement for a year and a half and he finally popped the question in Orlando in front of a packed Camping World Stadium.

Since her surgery, Nikki had no idea what John asked her during that window of time before her neck surgery where she was coherent but couldn’t remember a thing. But she finally found out what he asked her last night before Cena got down on one knee and made all of her Bella dreams come true.

WrestleMania 33 was a special night for a lot of people and for John and Nikki it was all that much more memorable. We here at Still Real To Us would like to congratulate John and Nikki for their WrestleMania moment.
