Goldberg rumors have been heating up over the past few months, and there’s a lot of talk about the former World Champion possibly wrestling another match in a WWE ring.
It was recently reported that the “wheels are in motion” and Goldberg’s people are supposedly talking with WWE. Goldberg is featured as a playable character in WWE 2K17, and he has been doing a lot of promotional work to hype up the game’s release.
Fanatics View recently caught up with Goldberg and they talked to him about possibly stepping back into the ring. The former champion said he will “never say never” when asked about another match, then the host told him he needs to wrestle one more match, and he suggested Brock Lesnar as an opponent.
Goldberg was then handed a Brock Lesnar shirt which he used to blow his nose before tearing the shirt up, and tell Brock Lesnar that he’s next. You can check out the clip below.
Brock Lesnar and Goldberg have been taunting each other for months. WWE released a video on their Facebook page back in August which featured Brock Lesnar telling Goldberg that he’s next. He then responded with the following:
The two men haven’t faced off in a WWE ring since their match at WrestleMania XX back in 2004. The match was viewed as controversial because fans knew that both men were leaving the company once it was over. Lesnar has since returned, but Goldberg still has yet to wrestle another match.
If Goldberg does return for one more match do you think that Brock Lesnar would be the right opponent for him? Sound off in the comments below.
