Vince Russo presents a regular podcast called “Vince Russo’s The Brand” and in this week’s episode, he reviewed WrestleMania X.
Russo began talking about how big the wrestlers were 23 years ago and started to slate WWE based on the fact that there aren’t as many chiselled and muscular guys on the show anymore, considering WWE was once “The Land of the Giants.”
He elaborated on his thoughts and started to talk about many of WWE’s current stars including Finn Balor, who is expected to return to WWE in the next week after more than seven months on the sidelines since he suffered a torn labrum at last year’s SummerSlam event.
Russo stated that “I’m 56 years old, living in a cabin by a lake, and I could kick Finn Balor’s a**.”
Russo was, of course, referring to the fact that Balor is not one of the biggest guys in the company and because of this, it is hard to find him intimidating. Shockingly, Russo went on to discuss the quality stars in WWE of whom he said were few and far between, but he did mention Charlotte, Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt.
All three of these stars have huge matches this weekend at WrestleMania and while Russo’s comments may give them a boost, Finn Balor will not be deterred by his comments and WWE won’t change the way they have evolved their company based on one man’s opinion.
