Professional wrestlers come in all shapes and sizes as people with various body types have been known to step into the squared circle. Not every wrestler who has competed in WWE has been shredded, but it seems that Vince McMahon didn’t approve of at least one former WWE star’s look.
During a recent episode of Foley Is Pod, Mick Foley discussed former NWA World Champion Trevor Murdoch and his time in WWE. According to Foley, Trevor Murdoch once asked Vince McMahon what he could do to reach the next level, and Vince openly told Murdoch that he hates his body.
“Trevor told me that he once sat down with Mr. McMahon and said ‘what can I do to catch your eye? What can I do to get to the next level?’ And Vince looked at him and said ‘I hate that pasty, flabby body of yours.’ It’s kind of tough when you’re dealing with a weak genetic hand. That’s something I know a little about.”
During his time with WWE, Trevor Murdoch managed to win the WWE World Tag Team Championship three times before he was released in 2008. He has since gone on to work with companies such as TNA, NWA and more.
