It’s been a wild year for WWE as Vince McMahon announced his retirement back in July after it was revealed that he used hush money payments to suppress allegations of sexual misconduct. Vince has been quiet since then, but it looks like he wants to return to WWE.
The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that McMahon has told people he intends to make a comeback and McMahon said that he, “received bad advice from people close to him to step down amid a sexual-misconduct investigation; and that the allegations would have blown over had he stayed.”
However, it doesn’t seem that a return to WWE would be so simple for Vince McMahon as Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting that people in WWE want nothing to do with a Vince return as they’re happy with the direction the company is going in.
Fightful previously reported that a WWE spokesperson claimed Vince McMahon is “done, done” and “would not be returning to the roles that were taken over by Triple H and several others.”
Following Vince McMahon’s retirement it was announced that Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan would serve as co-CEO with Triple H taking over creative.
