Last year Vince McMahon retired from WWE and it was announced that Triple H would be taking over creative. However, Vince returned to the company earlier this year and has since gotten involved with creative once again.
Fightful Select reports that Vince McMahon has been making regular changes to WWE shows remotely but he has not been popping up backstage. It’s being said that McMahon has been making late changes whenever he sees fit.
It was noted that when Vince McMahon was on site at WWE shows the changes are a lot heavier and had less reason to them, but Vince hasn’t been physically at a WWE show since WrestleMania week. People on the roster who spoke on the subject noted that they’ve heard Vince calls in changes remotely with heavy alterations. However, some talent have noted that they’ve had more flexibility with their promos compared to when Vince was around.
Morale was said to be high following the European tour as many noted the tour was the most fun they had ever been on. Some people have noted that things have improved significantly without Vince McMahon around, but they’re still “on guard” when it comes to the possibility of him returning and taking control backstage.
Several people believe that Vince McMahon was aware of the chaos his presence created backstage and has since opted to work remotely.
