This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw took place from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL and it featured Triple H’s big reveal of the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt as well as some other interesting moments. However, it sounds like several changes were made to the show.
PWInsider reports that Vince McMahon was working remotely from home and he made several changes to Raw. McMahon reportedly changed the finish for several matches with some matches having the actual finish changed, and other matches having the way they got to the finish changed. The Street Profits vs. Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander was also added to the show after McMahon made changes.
A number of segments featuring female performers were also reportedly cut from the show including a backstage segment featuring Piper Niven and Candice LeRae, as well as a segment featuring Adam Pearce, Sonya Deville and other female talent. It’s being said that the cuts were made in order to give more time to the six woman tag team match with Damage CTRL.
Sean Ross Sapp also noted that Candice LeRae were not just scheduled for a backstage segment, but they were also set to have a match as well on Monday Night Raw.
Originally, Piper Niven and Candice LeRae were slated for a backstage segment, then a match. Instead, Street Profits vs. Cedric & Shelton was in that spot.
We'll work to find out more on what happened and put it in our backstage news on https://t.co/jy8u4a7WDa.
