The Rock was in Los Angeles on Monday night to shoot footage for “Fighting With My Family” and many fans were hoping that he would make an appearance on Raw. The Rock didn’t appear on television, but he did appear in front of the live crowd for a quick promo before the show started. However, it was what The Rock did after the show that really got people talking.
After Raw went off the air The Rock made his way out to the ring and the crowd started to chant for CM Punk due to the fact that Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, is a character in the movie. Most WWE stars do their best to just ignore the CM Punk chants, but The Rock decided to embrace them.
Instead of just ignoring the chants The Rock pulled out his phone and called CM Punk in the middle of the ring. When CM Punk didn’t pick up, The Rock left him a voicemail.
As we all know CM Punk isn’t exactly a name that WWE officials like to bring up in front of the fans and according to a new report, the promo did not go over well backstage.
Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon wasn’t happy with the direction of the promo and at one point someone was sent to ringside to ask Rock to stop calling CM Punk.
Someone also apparently said something about The Rock’s mic potentially being cut off, because shortly before The Rock left the voicemail he said, “wait the mic better not be killed.”
Rock makes the comment at the beginning of the video below.

Of course Vince will be upset but watch his turn around when Punk calls his office.
will anything happen?huh?huh??
Sorry, but Vince has no right to be angry. He called Punk when the show went off the air. He can do what he wants and call who he wants in his free time.
