Would Vince McMahon Let CM Punk Return To WWE?

You can never say never in WWE and that goes for any situation you can imagine. It might be hard to believe, but people have burned their bridges with Vince McMahon in the past who might actually top what CM Punk did to upset the Chairman Of The Board, or at least he hasn’t done anything extremely worse than others in the past.

In reality, all CM Punk did was walk out and appear on a podcast and the damage has been done. But is there a chance that enough time has passed where Punk and WWE could work together again?

But as they say, time heals all wounds and this could certainly apply to CM Punk and WWE’s relationship as well. There have been no real signs of things getting better and there is still an ongoing lawsuit between the two. But that can be easily remedied if WWE so chooses.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter author Dave Meltzer was recently asked what would happen if CM Punk called Vince McMahon out of the blue and said he wanted to come back. Meltzer’s response was pretty hopeful in regards to a Second City Savior’s WWE return.

Of course, it’s impossible for anyone to read Vince McMahon’s mind because after all, his opinion can sway any direction during a day. So it might just be a matter of picking the right time to ask him.

But historically, Vince McMahon wouldn’t let something like walking out after the 2014 Royal Rumble and then trash talking the company and their doctor on a podcast stand in the way of McMahon and Punk making more money together.

Of course, this is just speculation but the idea is that attitudes might have changed between the two sides and a CM Punk return could be possible. All we need now is for Punk to pick up the phone and give Vince McMahon a call. Because as Meltzer pointed out, history has told that Vince McMahon very well might just pick up and talk a little bit.
