Vince McMahon Has Reportedly Given Up On Pushing Former Universal Champion

You never know what might happen when you watch an episode of Monday Night Raw, and this week fans saw former Universal Champion Finn Balor return to WWE programming.

Balor returned to face Austin Theory in a singles match, and it was Theory who picked up the win when he pinned Balor clean in a match that only lasted six minutes. After the match Austin Theory continued to disrespect Balor by attacking him.

According to WrestlingNews.co, there are no long-term plans to push Finn Balor as a top star in WWE. Balor was moved into the spot that Jeff Hardy had, and he’s now just being used to get younger guys over.

There was reportedly a pitch to turn him heel, but the idea was pitched weeks ago and nothing has come of it. It’s also being said that Vince McMahon has never seen Finn Balor as anything more than a mid card guy.

Do you think WWE should do more with Finn Balor sound off in the comments below.
