Vince McMahon is set to make his return to television tonight when he appears on WWE SmackDown Live.
Last week Vince ordered SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan to suspend Shane McMahon after Shane attacked Kevin Owens, and it’s been speculated that Vince McMahon could be announcing Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon for Hell in a Cell tonight.
Bobby Roode was called up to the WWE main roster when he joined SmackDown Live a few weeks ago, and it looks like Roode is set for big things.
During a recent interview the former NXT Champion admitted that working for TNA killed his passion for the wrestling business, but luckily NXT helped him find that passion again.
Roode recently spoke to Sports Illustrated about his success with the NXT brand, and he noted that everyone he’s worked with has been very helpful.
“NXT brought my passion back,” said Roode. “I got the chance to work with all the coaches down at the Performance Center, and I was able to pick Triple H’s brain, too. Also, working with Shawn Michaels was amazing. He’s been very supportive of me, and extremely helpful.”
“This past year was really gratifying on many different levels,” said Roode. “To come here with the experiences I’ve had, and to have the year I’ve had and be looked upon in the locker room as a leader with people coming to me for advice, it’s still surreal to me.”
