When news first broke that a Vince McMahon biopic was on the way, we were excited. We were also shocked. How could this billionaire afford to have all of his most intimate details exposed like that? We’ve seen what kind of transparent edge Hollywood biographical films can have and couldn’t imagine how one about McMahon could tell a true story without digging up a ton of dirt.
As it would turn out, there is at least one person who doesn’t think the Vince McMahon biopic will every come out and that is Linda McMahon. Currently the head of the small business administration in Donald Trump’s cabinet, Linda McMahon holds an important role in American politics. We’ve read early drafts of the script and her character is highly featured. Not everything featured is necessarily flattering either.
We previously pointed out some ways the script for the film and real life differ. But, that might not be enough to save the project.
Linda was recently interviewed by GV Wire and she was asked about the upcoming film. “I’m not too sure that movie will ever see the light of day” was her response. Now, that doesn’t mean it won’t get made but some have theorized Vince and Company might not want the movie being released due to the content.
She was also asked about her favorite wrestlers and she named Vince McMahon and Triple H. That’s a great big case of nepotism right there. She also said her favorite match of all time was WrestleMania III’s main event featuring Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant.
Will the Vince McMahon biopic called “Pandemonium” ever get made? We don’t know, because our crystal ball is out of batteries. But one thing is for sure, Linda’s quick and coy answer might be enough indication to assume there are certain people who don’t want it to be produced. But, only time will tell on this one.
You can check out the interview below. Skip to around 1:45 in the video to see her talk about the upcoming McMahon biopic.
