On Wednesday night the stars of NXT stepped into the spotlight when NXT made its live debut on USA Network. Velveteen Dream defended his NXT North American Championship against Roderick Strong, but Strong ended up walking away with the gold thanks to an assist from the Undisputed Era.
Matt Camp ran down an injury report on WWE Now, and he noted that Velveteen Dream was seen “walking gingerly” backstage following the match. Camp added that Dream has lumbar pain and won’t be cleared until further evaluation.
Kona Reeves had to receive five stitches after taking a strike to the cheek during his match against Damian Priest.
It was also noted that Reeves may have suffered orbital bone damage. Kona Reeves has not been cleared.
Arturo Ruas also had to undergo an x-ray on his fingers after his match with Pete Dunne and he has also not been cleared.
