On this week’s Smackdown Live, American Alpha dropped the Smackdown Tag Team Championships to The Usos in a great contest. Naturally, the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions showed up on Talking Smack to celebrate and advocate for a WrestleMania spot.
The Usos said they now had a “hall pass” to WrestleMania and demanded a match.
When Daniel Bryan said he didn’t have the authority to make a match for them at Mania, he then asked them who they wanted to face and they replied they wanted to fight the best tag team on the other side: The Bullet Club. They quickly corrected themselves by saying they meant The Club referring to Anderson and Gallows, the Raw Tag Team Champions.
Bryan said he couldn’t book a match but proposed they start a petition to get The Usos a match at Mania. After The Usos left, Daniel Bryan told the WWE Universe to make their opinions known and speak out if they think The Usos deserve to have a match at WrestleMania.
Renee Young and Daniel Bryan said to use the #UsosWrestleMania on Twitter and let their voices be heard. Therefore, just because they picked up the titles at Smackdown doesn’t verify they will have a match. It’s been expected that The Usos vs. American Alpha could be added to the kickoff show but since the Smackdown Tag Team Championships have already changed hands, who knows what could be in the cards for the show of shows on April 2nd.
To kick off the much-needed support, Jimmy and Jey’s cousin Roman Reigns got things going with a congratulatory tweet. The difference in likes and retweets between the two accounts is somewhat staggering, to say the least.
