It’s certainly no big secret that ratings for WWE Raw have been on the decline in 2020, and this week the show hit a new low for viewership.
Recently it was reported that WWE officials will be taking some reactionary measures following the new low for Raw, and it doesn’t sound like USA Network is too happy about the show losing viewers.
Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT is reporting that a source claims USA Network officials are “furious” and are pushing for an edgier show.
“USA Network are furious. They want more adult content. Not sexy adult, but dark and violent adult.”
It’s also being said that WWE officials are hoping that the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view in January can be a “big reset” for the company.
This week’s episode of Raw averaged 1.527 million viewers, down from last week’s 1.737 million viewers.
