USA Network Official Reportedly Unhappy With Paul Heyman Being Fired From Raw

Last year Paul Heyman was named the Executive Director of Monday Night Raw, but Heyman was removed from the role a few months ago back in June.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Chris McCumber, who was the President of USA Network and SYFY, has left the company after 19 years.

Chris McCumber had been heading USA since 2011, and SYFY since 2016. He was said to have been the point person between the network and WWE.

It’s also being said that McCumber was a big supporter of Paul Heyman, and he wasn’t happy when Heyman was removed from his position as Executive Director of Raw.

McCumber was sold on the idea of Raw’s ratings declining while the company put in the time to build up new stars, but he was less happy when WWE started putting the emphasis on older stars.

It’s not clear at this point in time what McCumber’s departure might mean for WWE’s relationship with USA Network.
