Chris Jericho has tried to get his hands on the US Title a few times in recent weeks, but his attempts to win the belt have been unsuccessful. Jericho will get another chance to win the title on Monday and this time the odds will be stacked in his favor.
WWE has announced that Monday’s episode of Raw will feature a handicap match which will see Roman Reigns defend his US Title against Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens simultaneously.
Kevin Owens is set to defend his Universal Championship against Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble on January 29, and Chris Jericho will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage. If the best friends manage to pick up a win on Monday night it looks like they could be walking into the Royal Rumble with both of the belts.
So far no other matches have been announced for Raw, but next week’s episode is set to take place from the Smoothie King Center in LA, and it will feature two huge names. The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels have both been confirmed for Raw next week and WWE is also teasing that we may see more stars declare their intentions to enter the Royal Rumble.
