Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest names in combat sports, and WWE officials haven’t been shy at all about letting the world know that they want to work with her. There’s clearly interest on Rousey’s end as well, as she’s appeared at a few WWE events in the past, and during the Mae Young Classic she even filmed a segment setting up a potential Horsewomen vs. Horsewomen match in the future.
At the time that the segment was filmed, it was rumored that WWE officials were hoping to book a Horsewomen vs. Horsewomen match for Survivor Series, but now that Survivor Series is set to be a Raw vs. SmackDown themed pay-per-view, it appears that it’s not going to happen at the annual event.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the match is still set to take place, but now current plans call for the match to happen at WrestleMania.
The Raw vs. SmackDown theme for Survivor Series is one reason for the match being pushed back, and the other reason is so Ronda Rousey, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir can all have more time to get ready.
Ronda Rousey has reportedly been at the WWE Performance Center this week.
