Variety recently did a report on WWE’s new television deal with NBCUniversal. The two biggest things mentioned in the report is that lawyers have been working out the terms of when Raw and SmackDown would become available on the WWE Network. Depending on what adjustments WWE made, Raw could be coming to the WWE Network earlier now.
Their report also mentions that WWE did consider taking SmackDown live. WWE was actually using SmackDown as a live show to try and get leverage in negotiations with other TV networks and it isn’t something that is likely to happen.
