Update On Samoa Joe’s WWE In-Ring Return

When you’re as dominating of a presence as Samoa Joe you’re going to end up doing a lot of damage to not only everyone around but also yourself. Joe recently felt another receipt for all of his years in the ring when he was taken out of action due to a knee injury.

This was awful timing for Joe (as if any injuries ever are) but it probably won’t stop him from getting back to business very soon. In fact, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports The Samoan Submission Machine is expected to be back in the ring by late October. This could mean a comeback for Joe very close to TLC, if not immediately following the PPV.

So if you’re a fan of watching Joe look really scary and unremorseful while he chokes people out, then you’re in luck. It would be nice for WWE to realize what they have in a guy like Joe and strap a rocket to him. But with guys like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns already superglued to the top of the roster, we can only hope Joe is able to chisel away at some of that dried glue and fit himself up there with WWE’s top stars so he can be where he belongs.

In a recent interview with SkySports Joe said he actually needed the knee surgery even before he started NXT. But he didn’t have it until now. That not only shows how tough he is but it also displays his insane work ethic. He needed a second surgery during his hiatus to repair his nose as well. Apparently, all that damage to Joe’s face caused eight breaks which took his breathing levels down to about 60%.

But Samoa Joe said he’s feeling much better now and with a return slated for the end of the month, surely he’ll be more than ready to start tapping people out in no time.
