Ronda Rousey’s WWE debut stunned the world and we’re still feeling the aftershock of such a breaking announcement. But it looks like WWE is Ronda Rousey’s home for at least the next couple of years and there were plenty of feuds teased upon her arrival. First off, Asuka wouldn’t shake her hand which is an interesting move, she already had some heat with Charlotte Flair, and Rousey shared an awkward handshake with Stephanie McMahon. Alexa Bliss might be the only one who avoided a potential Rowdy Ronda confrontation.
But it looks like the wheels are already in motion for a big WrestleMania match and it could be a huge one. There was talk of having Ronda Rousey and The Rock vs Stephanie McMahon and Triple H at WrestleMania 31 but it just didn’t pan out. What we got instead was a little bit of action in the ring. But the Dave Meltzer reports there was a lot of talk this week about making that match become a reality this year.
Whether The Rock can come back and work a full match is another story. There are plenty of people who rely on The Rock to make money at this point. That is what happens when you become as big of a celebrity as him. Therefore, it’s unknown if WWE will be able to make that work out at this point.
But Meltzer reports WWE is wanting a match with Ronda Rousey vs Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at the Show Of Shows in 2018 and that looks like the way they’re going. The Rock might be a different story, but I’m sure if he could make the big show this year he would. After all, he had to cancel an appearance last year because he was busy promoting Baywatch.
