Fans were shocked when WWE pulled Roman Reigns from the TLC pay-per-view last week, and it was later reported that Roman was diagnosed with the mumps.
PWInsider is now reporting that Roman Reigns has not yet been cleared to return to the ring. According to the report he will not be at the TV tapings this week, and he will not be part of WWE’s European tour.
Due to Roman’s absence WWE had to change plans for the European tour to remove The Shield reunion, and certain main events will now feature Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins defending the Raw Tag Team Titles.
The hope internally is that Roman Reigns will be cleared in time for him to appear at Survivor Series.
Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are set to face off against SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions, The Usos at Survivor Series this year, so if Roman is cleared it seems unlikely that we’ll see another Shield reunion at the event.
Roman Reigns is still expected to have a big role if he can compete at the pay-per-view, as it was recently reported that WWE officials are hoping for him to be the leader of the men’s Survivor Series team on Raw.
