The Goldberg/WWE rumors are really heating up, and it looks like we could be seeing the former World Champion step back into a WWE ring.
Dave Meltzer noted earlier in the week on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE and Goldberg are in serious talks. It was noted that the two parties are in heavy negotiations, and that a deal may even be done.
Jim Ross has also been talking about the possibility of Goldberg returning to WWE to face Brock Lesnar. Ross noted on Twitter that one of his sources says the Goldberg deal is done, and Goldberg will be facing Brock Lesnar.
Jim Ross posted the following:
Another source says that @Goldberg vs @BrockLesnar is a done deal and that it will likely go down at #SurvivorSeries. If true, bravo @wwe

Goldberg commented on all the rumors and reports when he posted the following on Twitter:

It’s also worth noting that Goldberg responded to a fan who noted to Jim Ross that he recently had surgery. He corrected the fan telling him that he had double knee surgery.

Goldberg is set to appear on ESPN’s Off The Top Rope segment on Wednesday, and he’s expected to talk about his relationship with WWE. It’s been speculated that an official announcement regarding his return could be coming soon.
He hasn’t wrestled a match for WWE since WrestleMania XX in 2004 when he faced off against Brock Lesnar.
