The Undertaker made his surprise return to WWE programming a few weeks away when he saved Roman Reigns from a beat down courtesy of Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre on Raw.
Now The Big Dog and The Deadman are set to team up to face McMahon an McIntyre in a No Holds Barred match at Extreme Rules on Sunday. After Extreme Rules all eyes will be looking ahead to SummerSlam.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE is advertising Drew McIntyre vs. The Undertaker for SummerSlam in the Toronto area.
However, it’s also being reported that the ad is just typical local market advertising, and the match is not the actual plan as of right now.
The expectation is that Taker wouldn’t return for Extreme Rules unless he was trying to set up a big match for SummerSlam, so it will be interesting to see how things play out.
