The last few days have been exciting for wrestling fans thanks to all of the big events that go along with WrestleMania week and on Saturday NXT Stand & Deliver aired live from Los Angeles. Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid competed on the pre-show and it was later reported that they had requested to be released.
Dave Meltzer followed up with a report stating that Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid had been released from the company, but he later noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the release isn’t official.
“That’s up in the air now. They were telling people that they got the release. I actually heard from someone this morning in WWE and it was, ‘Yeah, they’re gone’, and then later in the day, it was like, ‘I don’t think they got the release’.
“They told people they did, but I got the impression that it’s not necessarily the case, as far as getting the release. So we will have to wait and see for the next couple of days how this all plays out.
“But I don’t think ‘officially officially’. They may have, but it was kind of indicated to me that maybe it wasn’t as official as they thought and everyone down there thought.”
Stay tuned for more updates on Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid as they become available.
