This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was the special Day 1 edition of the show and Jey Uso teamed up with Kofi Kingston to face Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser of Imperium.
Unfortunately the match had to be stopped after Giovanni Vinci took a dropkick from Kofi Kingston. Vinci seemed to be out of it as the referee called for the match to end and Jey Uso and Kofi Kingston were declared the winners. After the match Vinci was able to walk out on his own two feet.
Details regarding exactly what happened to him in the ring have not been revealed at this point, but Giovanni Vinci confirmed that he’s ok when he posted the following on X:
“I am fine. A thousand thanks”
Following his Intercontinental Championship match with The Miz last month Gunther declared that he would be taking some time off. During his time away The Ring General welcomed his first child into the world. There’s currently no word on when Gunther will be back on TV, but it will be interesting to see how things pick back up with Imperium once he returns.
