WWE is making moves as far as their shows are concerned as in recent months it’s been confirmed that SmackDown will be airing on USA Network next year and NXT will be making the jump to the CW. However, as of this writing WWE has yet to announce a new network for Monday Night Raw.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Triple H was not backstage at Raw this week because he and Nick Khan were in Los Angeles trying to finalize a new TV deal for Raw. They were hoping to get $400 million, but analysts are predicting that the final number will be closer to $387 per year.
It’s being reported that for most of the negotiation period the belief was that FX was the leader. Netflix, USA, Warner Bros. Discovery and Amazon Prime have also been talked about.
The Warner Bros. Discovery side is claiming that Nick Khan last went to WBD with a pitch in October that was turned down. People in WBD have said there’s nothing to the idea of TBS or TNT being the destination for Raw.
Whatever the destination is for Raw it’s believed that the deal is close to being finalized in the range of $387 million per year. Stay tuned for updates.
