Rob Feinstein of RF Video posted the following update in regards to WWE possibly holding a NXT live event at the ECW Arena.
“A few websites reported over the weekend what I had said about NXT going to the arena and I was quoted all over the place. Well to update the situation today I was told that NXT will not be going to the arena after all. There is talk about getting a larger venue in town like the Temple University venue that TNA ran PPV’s out of.”
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is also backing this up citing that WWE wants to run a bigger venue and the Philadelphia’s Liacouris Center at Temple University can hold 10,000 people. They’re also reporting that WWE is looking to book NXT live events on Saturday nights in the same cities that WWE has PPVs such as a New York City area show on August 22nd the night before SummerSlam.
