A few weeks back the Minnesota Vikings VP of Public Affairs Lester Bagley claimed that WrestleMania was coming to Minnesota in the future. He said the following:
“Before the building is even open, we have already secured the Super Bowl in 2018, the NCAA basketball Final Four in 2019. We are a finalist and seem to be in a very good position to secure the college football playoffs, the BCS Championship game and you know we’ve got WrestleMania coming.”
In an update, WWE is expected to announce the location for WrestleMania 33 when they return to Minneapolis during an episode of Raw in December. Orlando apparently was trying hard to get WrestleMania for 2017 but WWE is interested in holding it in Minneapolis because they just built a new stadium and they want to hold WrestleMania there before a Super Bowl is held in the venue.
