William Regal has been on quite the journey over the last year or so. The former Intercontinental Champion was released from WWE in 2022 then he made his way to AEW shortly after. Regal was featured consistently as an on air talent in AEW up until he parted ways with the company a few months ago to return to WWE.
PWInsider reports that William Regal’s official title is Vice President of Global Talent Development, and he’s been at every Raw and SmackDown taping.
As part of his duties Regal watches every match at the tapings and takes notes then gives talent advice on how they can make their matches stronger and look more realistic from an in-ring perspective. The notes include suggestions on how to improve selling and physicality when it comes to locking up, reversals and more.
The idea is for William Regal to give advice to help talent improve the finer points of matches so everyone looks stronger when it comes to in-ring work. Stay tuned for more updates on William Regal’s role as they become available.
