Update On Why Rhea Ripley Was Pulled From Title Match At Money In The Bank

Originally Rhea Ripley was set to challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank next month, but that match won’t be happening. Earlier this week on Raw, Bianca Belair announced that Ripley is not medically cleared to compete at Money in the Bank.

Rhea Ripley shared some details on why she was pulled in an Instagram comment when she posted the following response to a fan who was questioning her status: “Brain/teeth [injury]. Can’t see a brain injury. Stop being incompetent and reaching at nothing.”

It’s not clear how long Ripley will be out of action, but Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that she’s not expected to be out of action long-term.

Due Rhea Ripley’s injury WWE held a fatal five way match on Raw to determine who will get the title shot. The match was won by Carmella who will now go on to challenge Bianca Belair for her title at Money in the Bank on July 2nd. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
