You never know who might return when you watch a WWE premium live event, and months ago back in April, Carlito made a big appearance at Backlash in Puerto Rico. The former Intercontinental Champion and the LWO helped Bad Bunny fight off The Judgment Day and ever since then fans have been wondering when they might be seeing more of Carlito.
It was reported months ago that Carlito had signed a new deal with WWE, but so far he has yet to return to TV. Dave Meltzer recently shared an update on Wrestling Observer Radio and he noted that Carlito signed his deal at the beginning of July and pulled out of all his independent dates.
According to the report, Carlito had a start date with WWE, and he showed up for the date. However, WWE couldn’t figure out what to do with him, and they still haven’t figured out what to do with him yet.
For years Carlito was a mainstay on WWE programming before he parted ways with the company in 2010. Carlito returned to the ring for WWE back in 2021 when he made a surprise appearance in the men’s Royal Rumble match. He last competed for WWE when he teamed up with Jeff Hardy the next night for a match on Raw.
One way or another it seems that Carlito is under contract with WWE, but the company is still working out plans for him at the moment. Stay tuned for updates.
