Finn Balor reportedly suffered a concussion last week in his match against Jinder Mahal, his first televised singles match since his return from an eight-month hiatus after he suffered a torn labrum back in August 2016.
Balor obviously passed the tests that WWE needed to take in order to clear him for action this week, because on Monday night he answered Curt Hawkins’ open challenge before former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt cut in with a promo at the end of his match.
According to Dave Meltzer on his latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has a few plans for Balor moving forward, one of these plans is to have him open up a feud with Bray Wyatt following his match with Randy Orton at Payback next weekend.
There is also the added question of whether or not Finn will be given a chance to win back the championship he never lost, which apparently could also be on the cards as soon as Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman have finished their current storyline.
It seems that Finn has quite a bright future on the Raw roster and despite the fact that Bray was unhappy that he was being moved after being told he would have a WWE Championship feud heading into the summer, it seems that these latest plans could be much better for The Eater Of Worlds anyway.
Finn has a bright future?? If that’s the case he should be feuding with someone who is much more of a wrestler than Bray Wyatt. At least in recent weeks Bray has been surprisingly using more actual wrestling moves and holds. Maybe there’s hope for him after all. But I’m not holding my breath.
