The Miz recently dropped The Intercontinental Championship to Roman Reigns over on the Raw brand, whilst Becky Lynch was attacked by The Riott Squad on SmackDown Live to write her off WWE TV as well.
It seems that even though Becky and The Miz are on separate brands, their reason for being absent from current proceedings is identical. The duo is currently away fulfilling their roles in The Marine 6, which will reportedly keep them away from WWE TV until “early January.”
According to Cagesideseats, this is the expected time frame for the absence of the two former champions, which means that both stars could easily slot back into their respective rosters ahead of the Royal Rumble.
The SmackDown Women’s Division seems to be moving forward without Becky as the Tuesday night show prepares for Clash of Champions next weekend, whilst The Miztourage are attempting to fill the gap left by their mentor, The Miz.
Luckily for the former champion, there isn’t a Raw pay-per-view now until the Royal Rumble at the end of January, so he could potentially return and cash in his rematch clause if Reigns is still holding the championship.
This is perhaps the best time of the year for two of WWE’s stars to have gone on a short hiatus, especially since reports suggest that they will be back on WWE TV before the Royal Rumble which signals the start of the Road To WrestleMania.
