For years now fans have seen Charlotte Flair dominate the competition in the WWE women’s division, but she met her match when she faced off against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39 earlier this month. The Queen put the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line, and in the end it was Rhea Ripley who ended up walking out with the gold.
Following her big loss at WrestleMania 39 it appears that Charlotte Flair is on a break from in-ring competition as it was reported after the show that she informed company officials she would be taking some time off.
According to PWInsider Elite, during her time off Charlotte Flair and her husband Andrade will be traveling for an undetermined length of time. It was also noted that Flair and Andrade spent some time in Hawaii following WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.
There doesn’t appear to be a timetable for Charlotte Flair’s return, but it’s worth noting that she is being featured on promotional graphics for the SummerSlam premium live event which is set to take place from Ford Field in August. We’ll just have to wait and see if Charlotte Flair is back by then and what WWE has planned for her when she returns.
