For months now a mysterious devil figure has been taunting MJF and there’s been a lot of discussion regarding who could be under the mask. This week on AEW Dynamite, Adam Page was attacked by the devil’s masked group and he was slammed into a car window.
The way things played out led to some speculation online that the use of the car window could be a reference to Jack Perry who infamously was involved in an altercation with CM Punk because he reportedly wanted to use real glass in a segment. Jack Perry later referenced the altercation during his match at All In earlier this year.
Fightful Select is reporting that one high level source in AEW specified that they don’t believe Jack Perry is involved with the devil angle. Jack Perry was suspended following an altercation with CM Punk at All In. His suspension has long been up but Jack Perry has not been present at AEW events. Although Jack Perry is not currently involved with the angle it’s always possible that plans could change.
It was also noted that the current plan is for Adam Page to stay off TV for a while in order to sell the attack that took place on Dynamite. Stay tuned for updates.
