Stephanie McMahon shocked the world last week when she announced that she’s taking a leave of absence from WWE to focus on her family, and the wrestling world is still reacting to the announcement.
In a recent PWInsider Q&A it was noted that WWE President Nick Khan is overseeing Stephanie McMahon’s duties for the time being, but it’s expected that the company will be bringing someone in to oversee brand marketing. It was also noted that no one in WWE believes Stephanie McMahon will be returning anytime soon.
“In the short term, it is believed Nick Khan will be overseeing Stephanie McMahon’s former team. I would expect WWE, if they aren’t already, to begin looking for someone to oversee the Brand Marketing for the company. No one I’ve spoken to believes McMahon will be returning anytime soon, so the company will need to have someone full-time.”
Only a very tiny group of people were made aware of Stephanie McMahon’s announcement before she posted the tweet. There were said to have been a lot of higher-ups in WWE who had no idea the announcement was coming.
