WWE has been going through some major changes over the last few weeks with Vince McMahon retiring and Stephanie McMahon and Triple H stepping into new roles with the company. With all of the changes taking place fans have wondered about Shane McMahon’s status with the company.
Fightful Select reports that Shane McMahon has been out of favor with WWE ever since the chaotic Royal Rumble that took place earlier this year in January. Shane was removed from his involvement with WWE following the event as he tried to make too many changes to the Royal Rumble match.
Brock Lesnar and others took issue with the changes Shane made and it was reported that he was “unprofessional.” There was also said to be confusion regarding Shane’s number in the match which led to Shane entering in Randy Orton’s spot.
It’s being said that Vince McMahon is the one who made the decision to part ways with Shane from a professional standpoint. Those close to Vince noted that he said Shane, “would never get another pop in this company as long as I’m around.”
The same person also said that they believed those comments were made in the heat of the moment, but that Vince McMahon’s frustration with Shane was, “extreme, but justified.” Shane compromising Brock Lesnar’s satisfaction with the match was said to be the end of the line.
