Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE a few weeks ago, and the company later announced that both Superstars have been suspended indefinitely.
Fightful Select reports that those they’ve talked to in WWE have not heard of much, if any, communication between WWE and Sasha Banks and Naomi. However, it’s been confirmed that starting last week WWE did cancel all travel plans they had set up for the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
It was reported by Dave Meltzer that Sasha Banks and Naomi have been suspended without pay, but Fightful was unable to confirm that. One source reportedly noted that they don’t believe WWE would freeze Sasha and Naomi’s contracts if they weren’t being paid.
Another source indicated that initially there were people in WWE who didn’t want to vacate the WWE Women’d Tag Team Titles. However, the decision was made when it became clear that WWE would have to go that route. When WWE first announced that Sasha and Naomi had been suspended it was also announced that a tournament would be held to crown new champions, but there’s been no word on when the tournament could take place.
