Ronda Rousey is the current Raw Women’s Champion, and it’s expected that Rousey will be involved in one of the biggest matches at WrestleMania this year.
It was recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there is “a very good chance Ronda Rousey will be finishing up with WWE at WrestleMania.” It’s also believed that Ronda wants to start a family soon with husband Travis Browne.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that WWE agreed when they signed Rousey that she could take time away to start a family, and that at Survivor Series she informed the company that she would likely be taking a break after WrestleMania.
However, it’s said that Ronda’s break is not set in stone, and things could change. Things could also change for Rousey if she does indeed decide to focus on starting a family, but as of right now the current Raw Women’s Champion still has time left on her multi-year deal with WWE.
A WWE spokesperson also issued the following statement to TMZ regarding Ronda’s status:
“Ronda Rousey is under contract with WWE until April 10, 2021. Whether she wants to start a family is a private matter.”
It’s also worth noting that the Observer’s report mentioned that Ronda could possibly transition into a role similar to John Cena or The Undertaker where she comes back from time to time. So even if she does take time away to start a family it sounds like she will still be involved with the company.
