The AEW Fight Forever video game was announced some time ago, but so far no official release date has been confirmed for the game. Fightful Select is now reporting that sources close to Yuke’s have said that they believe an announcement will be made sooner rather than later.

Originally the game was scheduled to be released in the fall of 2022, but obviously that didn’t happen. Fightful alumni Mike Straw noted that he heard the release was set to be close to the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV. However, that hasn’t been confirmed.

A release date is set to be announced “fairly soon” but the exact date has not been revealed. Many people who worked on the game wrapped up their involvement with AEW Fight Forever a year ago. People who are still working on the game noted in April that things are going well, but it’s still not 100% done.

The game is not supposed to play like the WWE 2K series as the play style is said to be similar to WWF No Mercy for N64. Evil Uno has previously said that he heard the plan was for the game to be a single release with ongoing updates.

AEW Fight Forever is set to be rated T for teen and the company had to tone down some of the blood and gore in the game in order to get that rating.
