WWE’s deal with Saudi Arabia has created quite a bit of controversy, but nevertheless the company is expected to return to Saudi Arabia in November.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the next Saudi Arabia show is back to its original date on 11/1 in Riyadh at King Saud University Stadium.
WWE ended up canceling a number of European dates, and rearranging plans for Raw and SmackDown tapings, but now it’s back to the old date.
The company is now in a situation where they have to produce a pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia on a Friday, then a live SmackDown in Newark, NJ later that day.
It’s possible that WWE could tape SmackDown beforehand, or move the show to Tuesday that week.
It’s also possible that WWE could hold an all women’s episode of SmackDown Live since the women aren’t allowed to wrestle in Saudi Arabia.
However, it’s being said that WWE isn’t planning on moving up TV at this point in time, and there have been no discussions in regards to how the situation will be handled.
